Happy Halloween!

We decided not to dress Kacie up for Halloween, because we knew we wouldn't be going anywhere. I did get a Halloween onsie for her to wear, though. Kacie started the day having to go to the doctor with Jason to get her 2nd dose of the flu shot. She now weighs 18 1/2 pounds.

Every year Jason decorates our house for Halloween, and tries to outdo himself each time. Here are some pictures of Jason, Kacie, and me in front of our "spooky" house.

These pictures don't really do it justice. He's got lights, smoke, sounds, spiders, you name it. It was a fun night of handing out candy and being together as a family for Kacie's 1st Halloween.

The weekend before Halloween, Jason & I went to SCREAMS Halloween Park in Waxahachie with our friends Drew and Lori. This has been an annual tradition for several years. We stayed overnight in a hotel, and Kacie had her 3rd sleepover at Grandma & Grandpa's house.

New Bathtub

Jason found this inflatable ducky bathtub for Kacie. Until now we still bathed Kacie in the  the plastic infant bathtub up on the kitchen counter. Well, she's had a runny nose for about a week now, and I wanted her to have a bath in the steamy bathroom. She had sooooo much fun, as you can see below.
She was cracking us up! She has always liked bath time, but this will make it even more fun!

7 Months!!

Once again, another month has FLOWN by. My little princess is 7 months old. She is getting such a cute and silly personality, and I really love this stage she's at right now. Here are some things about Kacie this month:
  • She is sitting up completely on her own.
  • She has 2 teeth poking through!
  • She still sleeps about 8:30 pm-6:30 am most nights, and takes 2-3 naps per day.
  • We have introduced more solids. So far, she's had rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash.
  • She has 1 bottle of formula and 2 bottles of breast milk during the day, and then we nurse at night.
  • She is starting to wave bye-bye. When we say it, she lifts her hand up and kind of flops her wrist back and forth. Sometimes she says "bah."
  • Another cute thing she does is get really excited when we say, "Kacie, do you want to eat?" We noticed it one night, and now we love seeing her smile and giggle in anticipation.
  • She is moving EVERYWHERE. She is not officially crawling technically, but she can roll and scoot just about anywhere and reach anything she wants. She especially loves to grab phones and remotes. Here she is moving across the floor to get the remote.
  • The weather is starting to get cooler, and most of her pants are too long for my little shorty!
  • She can drink water from a straw.
  • She loves to touch cold things, mostly our cups or soda cans.
  • She loves to play peek-a-boo, but when we put something over her face/head, she doesn't take it off. She just sits there until one of us moves it, and she has the biggest toothy grin.
Here are her 7 month photos
And there she goes....
She grabbed the sign and starting swinging it back and forth
I love her expression in this one
We "celebrated" her 7 month birthday with a trip to Target, where she sat in the cart like a big girl for the first time!
Her "signature" face (my phone camera has a delay, and it is so annoying!)
Cuddling with mom and playing with all her toys
Jason had to take her for her 2nd dose of the flu shot, so we got to know her weight. She is now 18 pounds, 8 ounces. We love our baby so much! It's so crazy to think that now she is closer to 1 than to being born. Can't wait to see what she will do to entertain and amaze us this month.

    October Continued...

This month is flying by. Here are a few more pictures from the last few weeks.
Kacie having fun looking at Earl
Hanging out with Daddy in the café at church
    Passed out later that night
Super Cute Rangers outfit I ordered a while ago. Too bad it didn't bring them any luck...
Some pictures taken by Grandma Bonnie at her house
Finally, we had 6 month pictures done last week. Here is one Jason took with his phone before the photographer told us we couldn't take pictures. (I was not in the official pictures, just sitting by her.)
That about sums it up! Almost time for November!

    October Fun!

I've had a hard time keeping up on here lately! Here are several weeks of pictures combined into one post.
Here is Kacie eating....I mean reading her book!
Getting ready to go visit Auntie Danielle, Uncle Stephen, and Jake
Jake's CHEESE face and a sleepy Kacie
    Lots of play time
She had this random piece of hair that looked like a tail. I finally cut it off, so I guess that was her first haircut....kind of....
    Silly Faces
A picture we sent to Jason when he was at a Ranger game one night
    Looking at Earl
    Cutie pie!
Please let me put that camera in my mouth!!!
This one made me literally laugh out loud. Kacie has been able to drink from a straw for a few weeks. One night I had her sitting up on the counter with me while I was working in the kitchen. I looked away for probably 5 seconds at the most, and when I turned back around, this is what I saw.
She had somehow reached over, grabbed my cup (of water), put the straw in her mouth and started drinking. I was laughing so hard and of course had to grab the camera.
Here are a few shots at Grandma Bonnie & Grandpa Paul's house.
    Whew! That's all for now!
