Happy Halloween!

The Sunday before Halloween, we went to the Fall Festival at our church. Here's my little bee (without wings)! The costume was a little small, but it worked for one afternoon.
Here are some of the little stations we visited that were toddler appropriate. This was her favorite. She picked up ducks with a net.
 Toilet paper toss
 Football throw
We had to go back to the ducks.
Then we spent the most time running around and picking up the cones.
She saw her friend Nathan and ran to give him a hug.
Wednesday was actually Halloween, so Kacie had a little party at Mrs. Karen's house.
This is how we spent Halloween night. Kacie got to eat dinner on a tray by the door so she could help me open the door for trick-or-treaters. She thought that was really fun. We decided not to go trick-or-treating ourselves since Jason wasn't home.
And just for fun....here's Kacie's Halloween pic from last year. Look how much she's grown!

19 Months

So much new stuff to mention this month. My little girl is not so little anymore!
This is the "best" picture of my wiggle worm

  • As always, she has added SO many new words to her vocabulary it is hard to even attempt to write them down.
  • She is beginning to put together 2 and 3 word sentences, especially with Kacie or I. (ex: Kacie play, I sit, Kacie eat, I see)
  • She can point to any color correctly, but this month she started saying purple, pink, white, and blue and identifying them correctly.
  • She LOVES milk and apple juice and she says both of them in a funny way. Milk is "Mak" and apple juice is "app-uh jooooooooooo."
  • As a previous post showed, she sings "Happy birthday to you."
  • She still loves to read, and her current favorite book is this random Berenstein Bears book that came in a Chick-Fil-A kid's meal.
  • She is still a good eater and eats just about everything we give her. She loves fruit of any kind. She actually asks for peas and broccoli. (I'll have to show her this later in life when she decides she doesn't like them! haha)
  • She is starting to say her friends' names from Mrs. Karen's house.
  • She has started calling my mom "Mar-nie" which we think comes from Grandma "Bonnie."
  • She loves snuggle time with Daddy, which includes looking at animals on a few different animal apps on the ipad.
  • Now that the cold weather is finally coming, I'm having a hard time finding shoes for her because of her fat foot. She is wearing 12, 18, and 24 month clothes depending on different brands.
  • Her favorite show is "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse." She also likes "Fresh Beat Band," "Super Why, "Little Einsteins," "Doc McStuffins," and "Chuggington."
  • She is VERY into buses, trains, trucks, and airplanes lately. She squeals and yells the word of which ever one we see when we're in the car or playing outside.
  • She identifies the letter "K." We have a K-A-C-I-E  magnets and bathtub letters that we practice with. She has been able to point to the K for a while, but she recently pointed to a K that was on a random piece of paper. She recognized it out of the context of her little play letters.
  • She loves hiding, tickling, and just being silly. I love her little personality. She loves to make her fake cry face in the mirror when she gets out of the bathtub.
Here are the other attempts at a good picture.
 CHEESE!
Happy 19 months Princess! We love you!!!

My Silly Singing Girl

Kacie loves the song "Baby Bumble Bee," so Jason recorded us singing it one afternoon.
This is one afternoon when we were visiting my Grandma in Irving. Kacie was really shy at first, then she came out of her shell and started entertaining everyone by doing THIS.
One night after church, she just started singing "Happy Birthday to You" while we were about to get ready for bed.

Lyla's Birthday Party

Our good friends the McNeelys had a birthday party for their daughter Lyla. They just adopted her from China in March, and she has never had a real birthday party. Kacie had a fun time running around with all the kids, but wanted to spend most of her time in the bounce house.
The kids eating on large blankets
Here's a video of her jumping (or falling down a lot!)
 On the way home :)
