Finishing up December

Here are the pictures I have left before I get to the CHRISTMAS posts!

Kacie always wants to take pictures, but it is hard to get her to stay still and look at the camera at the same time. She tells us, "Wall, cheese!" and then runs over to a wall, which means she wants to take a picture. That's why many pictures have the same background. This is one evening when she did this, because she wanted to "show off" the headband she found. Haha!
Once again, my favorites....sleeping pictures! It doesn't matter where I put her in the crib, she always ends up at the top with her face/head smashed up against the top. Notice she has to have Baby, Minnie, and Bear!

 My favorite new outfit
My sweet little "Mama" feeding her monkey
Can't go anywhere without Minnie & Baby

Sidewalk chalk
She stayed home with Jason one day with a really runny nose and a slight cough. By the looks of these pictures, she sure doesn't look sick....
Ready for her Christmas party at Mrs. Karen's house (It was in the mid-70s that day, so she got to wear a skirt with her long sleeve shirt!)

 More fun at the park

Nativity Set

Grandma Sharon sent Kacie a Nativity set for Christmas. She wanted us to go ahead and open it when we got it so Kacie could play with it. She loves it! She has had a blast setting up the people and the animals, and she especially loves playing with Baby Jesus. She rocks him, feeds him, and covers him with blankets. It's so sweet! This is when we first opened the box and she was setting everything up for the first time.
Then she went to relax on the recliner. I just like this picture and how she's all laid back!

Painting Ornaments

We made some ornaments for Kacie to paint for the grandparents. We had to make a few batches before they turned out right. (It felt like the 3 bears in our kitchen! Too soft, too hard, too fat, etc.) She had a blast painting them!
We hot glued a string on the back of them to make ornaments. I just realized I don't have any pictures of the finished products, but you can be sure the Grandmas loved them!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Even though the weather is still in the 70s, it is starting to look like Christmas around here.  We got down the decorations and lights and Kacie LOVED it!

She immediately found this little tree in a box. I gave her some of the unbreakable ornaments to play with. She sat for a long time putting them on and taking them off. She kept putting most of them on the top, so occasionally it would fall over. She would get so mad! It was hilarious! As you can see in the pictures, she was very serious about this.
Here we are putting some ornaments on the tree.
For the next several days, she would play with the ornaments on the bottom of the tree.
2 ornaments she made at Mrs. Karen's house that she hung up herself
She also loved the lights on our house and others in the neighborhood. When driving down the street, she says, "Ooooh pretty!" at every house. Jason had a few extra lights and plugged them in  in the playroom for her.

Family Pictures

Our friend Jon took some pictures of us to use on our Christmas card. I was really pleased with how they turned out. Here are a few of my favorites!
When we got back to the house, we took a few of our own just for fun.
