- She is just so funny I cannot get over it. That little girl keeps us laughing all day!
- At the beginning of the month, she became very clingy and wanted only me for about a week. Even when I was in the house, if I walked out of the room she would start crying. Or if Jason was holding her, if I left the room, she'd hold out her hands and say, "mama". While I was glad she wanted me, it was totally unlike her. But that didn't last very long.
- She finally has stopped crying when we take her to the church nursery! I know I say she hardly every cries, but for some reason, handing her over the counter at church still caused some tears.
- We have gone swimming a few times, which she LOVES!
- She's still taking two 1 1/2 hour naps on most days. If we are out and miss the morning nap, she will sleep about 2-3 hours in the afternoon.
- She started rubbing her head/leg/arm/etc when she hits it or gets hurt. It is really cute!
- We tried coloring a few days. I think she likes it, but she's not interested for very long.
- I know I always say this, but her language acquisition is just amazing me. I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I just love hearing her "talk" and seeing what she actually understands. When she does the "more" sign, I'll say, "more what?" and she usually points to what she wants. She is very opinionated and says uh-huh or no-no when she wants/doesn't want something.
- She is definitely becoming a little bit feisty/sassy whatever you want to call it. She says "No!" a lot more, but then immediately (usually) does what we say after she says no.
- Her new favorite word is "hot." I would always say it when I was blowing on her food. She started copying me and it's really cute. Then one day I let her touch something hot (warm) to try to show her what "hot" is. Now she says it for everything! She touches anything and says, "Hot!" even if it's a cold cup, a toy, her leg.
- She also still loves to climb, as the previous playground posts mentioned.
- She LOVES to go outside, but it's so hot already in the morning that we have to limit our time outside.
- She is getting rid of the "stranger danger." She used to be so funny and loud at home, but silent and cautious around other people. Now she's warming up and playing a lot faster than she used to when we're around new people.
- She still loves her books and we read sooooo many of them multiple times per day.
- She's getting good at following simple directions, such as "Take this ______ to daddy," or "bring me the ________".
Yawn!
Yea!
Ok I'm done
We went to the doctor for her 15 month appointment later in the week. She now weighs 26 pounds, 6 ounces, and is almost 32 inches. He said that is 90% in both areas. These are my attempts to get a picture of her before the doctor. Yeah right!
This is the only one that kind of captures her little face
Bow out
Knock Knock
Belly Button
She has learned how to un-velcro her sandals, and she is fascinated by it
Finally in the car...and yes, she had to bring the pink hat!
