Santa Visit

Jason got home early one evening, so we hurried over to Bass Pro to visit Santa!  Several of my friends had waited hours on the weekend, but we had no wait since it was a Tuesday night about 6:00. She didn't cry, but she didn't smile either. Here are a few pics.
She kept her hands up like that for a few minutes until I put them down.
I thought this one was so cute!
Then we attempted to take some pictures by this snowman.
After the visit with Santa, Kacie had a blast walking around Bass Pro. She loved looking at all the animals (real and fake!)
When she saw this big duck decoy on the shelf, she squealed and said, "Quack quack big! I touch!" It was so funny!
 "Ooooh bear"

Here are a few silly pictures of Jason & Kacie when we got home.

Kacie's Bowl

This summer I had beans, macaroni noodles, and a variety of objects that Kacie played with in a bowl. I got them out one night for her to play with to see if she was interested while Jason & I ate a late dinner. She was very excited and played with it for 45 minutes straight until it was time for bed. Ever since then, whenever she sees the bowl on the counter she says, "I play bowl?" over and over until I get it down.

Visit to an Airplane

We went to my Grandma Bobbie's 85th birthday party on Sunday at my Uncle Mark's house. He lives waaaaaaaaay out in the country and has an airplane hangar on his property. There is a runway down the middle of a big field that private planes use. Kacie had a good time running around, and of course seeing the big airplane. She was very entertaining to the rest of the family. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures, and I didn't get any of Kacie and Grandma Bobbie.
 I love this one!
Just chillin'. She got in and out of this chair about 20 times.
I looked up and saw Kacie sitting at this table with all the men. Too funny.

20 Months

Here we are at 20 months!! That sounds so old. This month has flown by, and Kacie is growing so much.
  • She is singing more and more! I can't remember which songs I've already mentioned, but these are the lines that she sings over and over again: "Happy Birthday to you," "Good morning to you," "Up above the world so high," " No more monkeys jumping on the bed," and "yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, the bible, the bible so." I just love that little voice!
  • She says and identifies correctly every color, and she has started to identify circles, hearts, and stars.
  • She loves to play "Ring Around the Rosy."
  • Her favorite tv show is still "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."
  • She is talking up a storm, and we can understand most of it.
  • She is really interested in the potty. We have let her sit on it a few times, but that's the extent of the "potty training." I'm not quite ready to start all that.
  • She counts everything with "1,2,3."
  • I took her to school one night for our 3rd grade program and she was a hoot! She was dancing and singing to the music and of course all my students loved seeing her.
  • She just seems so big! She's wearing 18 & 24 month clothes. I'm having trouble finding shoes for fall/winter but I'll keep looking. She wears 4 (Pampers) & 5 (Target brand) diapers during the day and 6 (Pampers) at night.
Here are the other attempts at her picture.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year for Thanksgiving my parents came over to our house for dinner. It was ridiculously warm, so it didn't really feel like Thanksgiving! I didn't take very many pictures, but here are a few.
She's saying, "It's loud!"
 Then she wanted to help.
 Happy Thanksgiving!!

 Family picture
 Picture with Grandma & Grandpa
Kacie also had a "feast" at Mrs. Karen's house. They made these Indian headbands, and she wouldn't take it off!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! We have so many things to be thankful for and look forward to many more years with family & friends!

November Catch Up

I love sleeping pictures!
One evening, she picked up my school bag and put it around her neck like this. Then she walked around with it for a while. It was really funny.
