End of Summer Vacatin

On the day before inservice, I wanted to have a special day with just Kacie and me. We went for a long walk on the trails in our neighborhood. Of course Red Minnie, Pink Minnie, and Baby had to come
How cute is she????!?!?!?
She said this was her rake. I love that imagination!
 Now she's feeding the giraffe.
 Too much fun!
After her nap, we went swimming.
She said, "Mommy take a picture like this!"
 Fun in the sun!
We also had fun one day at McDonald's, celebrating Tyler's 4th birthday.
Kacie with her buddies Logan & Grayson
 Kacie and the Birthday Boy!
The weekend before school, we went to the lake with my best friends from high school, Michelle & Lisa, and their families. This is our stop for lunch at Wendy's after church on the way to the lake.
 Beach Baby!
 Fun on the paddle boat
 The 3 Musketeers with Corey

I was so disappointed we didn't get a picture of the 3 of us with all of our kids. This is the first time we have all been together. Jason, Kacie, and I stayed for dinner, so Kacie got to play with Carter & Corey a little big longer.
Michelle & me-We met in 9th grade Spanish class and became instant BFFs. We also lived together for 2 years in college at SWT. She lives in Austin, so we don't see each other very often, but when we do, it's like no time has passed!
Sleeping Beauty on the ride home
Playing again in her "boat"
One Saturday Jake came over to play while Danielle had to go somewhere. I love that they still play so well together.
One day we went to the park and it started raining! I tried to get a picture, but you can't really tell it's raining in the background. We were "stuck" at the playground for about 30 minutes. Luckily, the playground is covered and there wasn't any lightning or thunder.
 Cheese!
 Sitting with Papaw
 More cuteness!
She keeps posing like this....not sure why
 Big girl going potty

Not sure what these 2 are from, but she sure looks cute! (I'm not biased at ALL.)
My back to school bulletin board. I started my 14th year of teaching!
More from August:

  • Some funny phrases she has started saying: "You're welcome, any time" and "What are you talking about?"
  • She calls ketchup "che-chup."
  • She could not wait to go back to Mrs. Karen's house to see her friends.
  • She is fully potty trained during the day. She hasn't had any accidents in forever. She still wears a diaper for nap and overnight.
  • I didn't write as many things down on my August calendar, but I can't believe the summer is over. Every day she just seems more and more grown up. I can't wait to see what this school year will hold for us!!
